Photo Shoot

Image
I had a lot of time on my hands today. I had no idea what I was going to do today.  Sure I had chores to do, but as an adult, who wants to actually do stuff like wash dishes, do laundry, sweep and the like?   So I pulled out the tripod and set up my camera in my living room and practiced.  I felt like a little kid running to the back of the camera to see how the picture turned out.  I had a lot of fun doing this today and it most certainly allowed myself to feel comfortable on the other side of the lens. Out of the 127 pictures I took, these are the top 10 12.  Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for some more of the challenge pictures.

Fallen Behind

Image
Well, it appears as though I may have given up on the daily challenges.  Not completely though, just daily.  I've decided to maybe do two a week.  One every day is just too hard.  Unless of course I already have some taken :)  So for time being, I will only post twice a week.  I've decided to post:      --> Long exposure      --> Something orange      --> My shoes      --> Close up LONG EXPOSURE This one was taken one night my fellow photographer were out practicing night shots.  Still needs work, but hopefully this summer, we will get out more. SOMETHING ORANGE My Jell-o I had this morning MY SHOES Thankfully there is no such thing as smell-o-vision.  I can't wait to be able to wear flip-flops again! CLOSE UP I HATE bees!! I overcame my fear one day and got this awesome shot on Macro setting.  This was when I first got my camera, so I wasn't familiar with what it could do.  I was very close to it and hoped he didn't se

Day 9 and 10

Image
**I didn't have time to do Day 9, so I am doing both today... My bad...** Day 9) Hmmm... This was a tough one.  How can you take a picture of a memory.  But I got thinking. There are is one thing I hold very dear to my heart when it comes to childhood is a knitted rabbit my mom made. She has been through thick and thin with me.  To this day, at almost 37 years old, when I am having a really bad day, I will take this rabbit and snuggle with it.  For some reason it sort of makes me feel better.  Almost like having mom right there with me when I know she can't be. I don't think she has a name.  I don't ever remember giving her one.  I think the best thing about this rabbit is that she's not perfect.  When she was put together, mom didn't stuff her enough in places so she is very flopsy. *I think I will have to get her to sign a model agreement... Day 10) Something Blue I looked and looked for something ordinary for me to post.  With these challeng

Day 8) Someone I Love

Image
I was going to post a picture of myself for this one, but I don't really love myself all that much.  Then I thought about posting a picture of the cats, but I am sure you will be seeing a lot of them in posts to come. So, then next obvious "subject" would be, and don't hate me for this, Shawn. This picture was taken the night of the Halloween party in 2013.  It's not a great picture, it was dark and I wasn't too confident in taking pictures at night yet.  And I had to do it quick. I love you, Hun!! XOXO

Day 7) A bad habit

Image
A bad habit... Hmmm, I have SO many! I am going to have to go a head and say my worst bad habit is eating.  I LOVE to eat.  You may ask "Why is eating a bad habit?". Well, technically it's not when you eat when and what you're supposed to.  But when it comes to my eating habits, it's usually anything, anytime and any amount.  I am working on it though.  It's tough.  Every time I walk by the fridge or cupboard I open it and see what's inside.  If anything, I will snack on it.  Chances are there will be something in there, and I will eat it. Stuff like this... Cereal, I could eat cereal for every meal of every day.  I don't usually drink pop, but if there is some, I will drink it.  I am actually surprised that there was this much left in the cupboard.  One of my other bad habits; Dropping my phone.  I do this a lot.  I was going to try to get a picture of me dropping it, but I'm pretty sure that would be the time it smashed. Thanks for l

Day 6) Fruit

Image
Today's challenge is to take a picture of a piece of fruit.  I do not own a piece of real fruit or fake fruit so I am going to substitute for a vegetable. I present to you, the potato. Now, I couldn't take a picture of just a plain potato.  I had to give it life.  And one is an awful lonely number, so I gave him a friend. Thanks for stopping by!  Stay tuned for tomorrows pic!

Daily Challenge

Image
I wanted to do a daily challenge for some time now.  I had the usual "I don't have time" excuse every time.  This time there is no excuse.  I will get this challenge done.  I found this on Pinterest the other day, and thought it was a good one to try. Since I am behind a few days, I will post days 1-5 in today's post.  DAY 1) Self portrait. These are hard for me.  I hate the way I look in every aspect of myself.  Today was my day off, and this is how I spend a majority of my days off.  In the comfort of my home, in my pajamas!  You can usually find me in my phone or watching Netflix, And I LOVE it!! Day 2) What you are wearing today . It doesn't say it needs to be clothes.  I am wearing rainbow Domo slippers I got for Christmas '12 from Heidi.  I love them to bits and wear them every day! Day 3)** Clouds. I looked out my window today, and being the 5th of March, there is not one cloud in the sky.  I have decided to move this day to the next
