A Hay Day

Image
Well, it looks like I missed "Summer Part 2", oh well. Took a little walk this evening by home and always loved when they did the haying in the field. Thought I'd share a photo seeing as it's been a while since I posted a photo. Yes, I used a filter, no I am not ashamed.  You don't need to like it, but I do. Thanks for looking...

Just a little collection that I have taken so far over the past few months. Some cuties around Schooner Point (Can't recall the name of the farm) Fisherman's Powwow and Tall Ships Thanks for looking.  Come on back to see some more!  Cheers!

Lightening Strike

Image
I finally got one!!! It's blurry as heck, but I finally got a shot of lightening from my living room window.  Would have probably turned out better if the stupid neighbors hadn't planted a tree in front of a motion sensor light that stayed on because the tree kept moving in the wind.  Don't care, got a shot!  Bring on the next one!!

Don't Make Me Turn This Car Around

Image
It's a long drive to Florenceville.  Add a trip to Fredericton and back in there, and the drive back home on the same highway every time, gets a little boring.  Shawn and I like to take the scenic route sometimes.  Yesterday we went up north around Campbellton and Saint Quentin area, down through Saint Leonard and Four Falls.  Yes, it was all highway driving, but the mountains were very pretty.  Lots of farm land.  Saw 2 moose just outside Miramichi.  We were driving too fast to stop and there was traffic behind us.  Saw one on the way home just outside Boiestown. We were able to stop for this one, but by the time I was able to reach my camera in the back seat, she was gone.  Never the less, it was a fantastic trip with the kids and ended with a good feed at The Doghut Canteen. Trying to be artsy with the reflection of my shoe in the window Welcome to Campbellton Mountain just before Campbellton Mr Meeseeks (Rick and Morty) hanging in the window. This one came

Mother's Day

Image
It's Mother's Day. For some, you get to spend some time with your moms. But for me, I've been jipped out of a Mother's Day for 11 of them. Over the course of the past 11 Mother's Days, I've often shut people out for a few days. I've shut myself off from the world. For some reason I was awake at 4:30 this morning, and saw this beautiful sunrise. I haven't seen one in a while and I'd like to believe it's my mom telling me not to be such a whiny, entitled bitch and deal with it. I'm not entirely sure what my excuse is for the rest of the time I'm grumpy, hateful and shut people out. I'm sure I'll have some excuse soon enough. I'm going to get dressed like I do any other day, and kick today in the balls. Today is not going to get me down. Today is going to be an OK day. Happy Mom's Day. **Disclaimer : I know I am not the only person with no mom. But this post isn't about you. This post is about me and my feels. Deal.

Water Feathered Friends

Image
These were taken at the Sackville Waterfowl Park the other week. There wasn't much there at the time, but caught a few of them swimming around. Thanks for looking!

Looking Through The Past

Image
You know it's time to get out and shoot some more stuff when you look through your photos and are pretty sure you've posted them already. Found a couple to edit and share with you this evening.  Got a little bored and thought I'd have an edit session. This little guy (or girl) was taken at the CherryBrook Zoo in St. John in July 2015 This was the "Blue Moon" we had on July 30th 2015  And the Morrissy Bridge taken the same night. Thanks for looking! And hey, if you don't already "like" it, head on over to my facebook page and give it a like

Missing: Summer...

Image
Last Seen: Wednesday, September 21 2016. Last seen wearing: shorts, tank top and flip flop. If you see it, please set it free.  We miss it.  Everyone misses it.  We would be so happy to see it back very soon.   We hope you're safe. Feeling nostalgic today.  Listening to a folder of music from when I was in grade 7.  Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory" is currently playing.  You can do the math if you like...  These are just a few shots I took last year. Made them look retro.  Hurry back summer.

Still getting the hang of dark lit photography.  Here are a few that turned out not too bad. These ones I was just playing around with some stuff.  Thanks for having a look.  Check these guys out on their facebook page and click the link above.   And don't forget to support your local music scene!! 🎵
